The Pohala Lodge can be booked by the room, or the entire property. Additionally guests can add on the options for private chef services, massage, and private/group Yoga and Meditation Classes.

All private suites include coded lock and entry. 

Guests will have:

  • 24 hour access(8AM-10PM, Quiet hours after 10PM)

Meet our guides

Alea Backus

Alea is a multidimensional woman, offering many gifts and services to the world. She graduated from Sacred Path Healing Arts School on O’ahu and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition online in 2016 as a Healer/Yogi and Health Coach. She is a RYT 200 hr yoga instructor with over 800 hrs of teaching experience. She received her massage license Fall 2022 as well.
Alea makes beautiful yoga-inspired jewelry representing the chakra/energy centers. She loves living life to its fullest, practicing and teaching many physical disciplines including yoga, aerial arts, surfing, snorkeling, hiking, and more. She is an avid nature lover, gardener, as well as a private chef. She is a mother of a precious 10 year-old boy, Ke’ohi.

Danielle Chandler

Danielle decided she wanted to share her passion for yoga and its amazing healing powers with others after being a dedicated practitioner since age 16. She is driven by her love for human connection, mother earth and endless time spent on the mat. Danielle received her yoga teaching certification in Canggu, Bali while embarking on a cultural exploration in Southeast Asia. Connecting with individuals from various corners of the world through movement and mindfulness is only the beginning of her journey. Danielle is on a mission to use this incredible practice to help others feel the sense of clarity, calmness and overall well being she strives to experience within herself. You can expect gentle guidance, compassionate assists and playful energy in her classes and overall presence.
Danielle has a bachelor’s degree in Health Communications, a 200 Hour Yoga Teaching Certification and a Holistic Health Coaching Certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
